Basketball is one of the most popular sports at Good Shepherd Lutheran College, with approximately 4 secondary teams and 4 primary teams representing the College each year.
Teams Primary boys and girls teams compete at the SCISSA competition in Years 4- 6. Primary and Secondary teams compete in the Noosa Competition On Friday nights and Saturday mornings

Basketball continues to be a popular extracurricular choice for students. In recent years teams have travelled to Singapore and USA to compete in international tournaments. NEW 2019 - GSLC Basketball Academy - Head coach Shawn Sykes will coordinate a team of coaches to run an Academy on Thursday afternoons. Term one - focus on individual skill development Term two/three - tactical /team development Term Four - junior development (Year 3-6)
Basketball @ GSLC 2018 The Senior boys placed 5th at the CBSQ Div III, given this was a very young team they should continue to place well over the next few years. Twelve teams competed in the SCSBA competition, no finalists this year, however the Jun girls finished the regular season unbeaten in division two. Friday night semester one Noosa comp U18 boys took 3rd, U16 boys took 2nd. U14 boys also had a successful season. U16 boys took 2nd in their Saturday morning Maroochydore Basketball Interclub pool in term two.
